Re: wot should i do

For Perch Ive had quite a few on small mepps spinners with 3lb to 4lb line retrieving slowly near to wooden pilings or close to banks and weed on the Grand Union canal. but if theres a chance of a small pike then I would either up the size of spinner or change to a different lure and put a wire trace on or fish a different method completely.
For spinning for Perch I use a small 6 to 8 ft spinning rod (5 - 10 grm size) its great fun wandering with the light rod and a small box of spinners and a small folding landing net attatched to your waiscoat.
