 Shakespeare MACH 3 Reel  I,m thinking about ordering one of the new Shakespeare Mach 3 front drag match reels in the small 035 size. They look like a good package with 7 ball bearings, 5.2:1 retrieve, two choices of handle & 4 metal spools all in a nice reel case. They had a good write-up in the Angling Times & are being sold by Bennetts of Sheffield reduced from £48 to £35. Have any forum members used one of these & if so how do you rate em?      |

 Re: Shakespeare MACH 3 Reel Full marks to Bennets of Sheffield for speed of service. My new reel arrived in the post today. And I have to say that I'm well impressed & I cannot believe how Shakespeare have produced such a quality item for the money. I've not had a chance to try it out yet, but the finish is absolutely excellent & the reel is sooooo smooth. Turn the handle & it spins for ages. From what I have seen I just cannot fault it. Can't wait to try it out. 10/10 |

| Re: Shakespeare MACH 3 Reel i looked at one of those reels the other day , they seemed to be ok, be intresting to see how it performs , i also use bennets for mail order and never had a problem with them.... __________________ obsessed is a word used by the lazy to describe the dedicated .. species hunt team winner 2005 and 2006..with old smoothy.. |

| Re: Shakespeare MACH 3 Reel Well, it looks like I made the right choice. This weeks Anglers Mail tested eight match reels in the £40 price bracket & this one came out best in test. It scored 28 out of a possible 30 points. |

| Re: Shakespeare MACH 3 Reel Well having used this reel, I still can't fault it. The Clutch is silky smooth, perfect linelay on the spool & a nice retrieve ratio. However someone with small hands may find the reel stem a bit short for feathering the line on the spool rim with their index finger. Great value for money. I'm tempted to give one of the Mach III match rods a try now. Anyone else tried em? |
