Thumbs up Okuma interceptor Baitrunner.

Having seen some good write-ups on this reel in the angling press, I was pleased when Dennings Tackle at Portland offered me a deal on a pair of them. £50 for two. (Usual price, about £40 each) It just go's to show that you should try your local tackle shop before using mail order or Ebay. I've only had a chance to use them once teamed up with a pair of 2.75lb TC Carp rods, but am very impressed with their build quality & smooth action. (Three ball bearings) To date i've only caught one fish using them (A carp of about 6-7lb) But they performed faultlessly & I felt totally in controll. I will give an up-date when I have used & abused them a few times, but so far i,m impressed.

Smile Re: Okuma interceptor Baitrunner.

Theres quite a lot of offers on this reel in the angling press. Sometimes for even less. Problem is that you then have to add postage costs. Try showing the colour of your money to a local shop Claudia.

The shop only had one size 4.0 which was what I was really after. But when I compared them side by side with the size 5.0 they looked identical in size except for the spool. So I went for a pair of size 5.0s

Thumbs up Re: Okuma interceptor Baitrunner.

Well since buying these reels, i've had Carp to double figures on them, pike & a Catfish & they've performed faultlessly. I'm also going to take one to Cuba with me in a couple of weeks to se how it copes with the local Barracuda...

I'm told that Barracuda are just like Women, you've just got to show em who's boss. Maybe I should stick to Ruffe LOL
