| John Roberts - Rod Bands These are a really good way of holding 2 piece 12/13ft rods together. If like me you use and abuse your rods and use a Quiver, then these are great. They hold the Tip against the Butt and the 2 ends of the join together in a much more solid way than a normal rod band/strap. They only cost £2.05 and your local tackle shop can normally order them in. They are indestructable, but are shown in the catalogues as being bright red, but they only ever seem to be available in an "easy lose" green - I'm trying to figure out a good way of storing them or maybe attaching some bright floating beads, via braid and a hot needle - highly recommended ![]() Last edited by Norfolkboy; 10-15-2006 at 04:40 PM. |

| Re: John Roberts - Rod Bands Sorry for the late reply! I have to fight with my kids and wife to get PC access (and work blocks this site!) I guess they are plastic, but are very flexible. Trouble is i'm in such a rush to get my rods out and in the water, that i end up throwing them into my bivy and trying to find them later! Probably thats why I lose every thing when i'm fishing, particularly mobile phone and Car keys - Usually wrapped up in my sleeping bag Doh!Barrie |
