Hi all

I want to start fishing but do not have much money i obviously dont want to spend silly money on something i may not stick with so if i had say £100 what could i buy with this any recommendations for a starter

I think my best advise would be for you to find one of your mates who fishes, and con him into taking you out w/ his kit to see if you like it. Good luck, I think you'll find it great fun!

Hi Si,

Welcome to the Forum.

I would suggest that you approach a local fishing club and ask them for assistance. That way you won't have to throw away £100 on tackle that you might never use more than a couple of times. It is harder to sell cheap tackle second hand than it is to sell expensive tackle.

Your local tackle shop will give you information on clubs, and they might even put you in touch with a few anglers who would be willing to help.
