Garbolino Rocket Carp 11ft Pellet Waggler rod or Maver Abyss X Series 2 Piece Match?

I bought the Rocket picker carp. It looked a great deal until the first time I used it & it snapped like a twig with hardly any load. Never had a rod do that before in 40 + years of fishing. It had a very thin blank wall. Tackle shop gave me a replacement which has not snapped yet, but I no longer really trust it.

I have the 12ft version of the Garbolino Rocket Pellet waggler, I have had no problems with it, however, i am not certain how it would cope with fish over 6lb as i mainly use it for smaller carp.
