Re: haven holiday resort fishing

Went to Burnham which has two lakes. Specimen lake and general lake. Was OK to be fair. The one near Weymouth looked OK (and I think once was a record breaking match venue) but didn't fish it. Burnham also has beach fishing within a very short walk and a tackle shop (I hope still) in Burnham town. Perran sands has a great beach and some cracking cornish marks nearby but no freshwater fishing.

Re: haven holiday resort fishing

look at my post here:
golden sands, haven at mablethorpe

the beach is out the front gates, cross the road & you're there. quite a few fisheries within a short drive too.
we went on 1 of those sun newspaper holidays from £9.99 deals.

it's also not too far from ingoldmells & skeggy.

Re: haven holiday resort fishing

I own a caravan at St Osyth, has 2 lakes, not very big but hold some impressive fish, can fish hard depending on weather, couple who run the fishing / golf hut are very nice and will let you know how its been fishing, also a little bay oppisite the entrance to the park which I have had a couple of bass out of, fantastic cafe on edge of the beach, hope this helps a little
