bob radman headlamp

bought a new headlamp

i have a princeton tec.....great but winter fishing staying in one place its nice to light everything up so

i also have a speleo nightraider but the 4 1/2lb battery is not on for the marks i fish which are sometimes a good hour to get to.

so i'm now an owner of a bob radman MK3 headlight
there all hand built and have a bit of a cult following in south wales for their reliability and robustness
its got 3 5watt led bulbs giving a stunning 360 lumen output...battery less than a a quarter of the size of the speleo and lasts for 17 hours

as comparison
petzl ultra 350 lumens £269
speleo nova plus 200 lumens £168

garanteed for 12 months and after that repaired at cost price of parts...its number 37 of only 37 made with a price tag of £130

blow up sheep...you gotta be joking........we got plenty of the real thing down here....and we don't publicise the fact by lighting up the whole area like a grandstand with a headlight while were at it!!!

Re: bob radman headlamp

When you say you had a Princeton, I presume you mean the 130 lumen Apex??? How do the two compare?

Re: bob radman headlamp

ill still use the princeton..especially off the rocks when bassing etc as its not too bright, and you can put some cut out red acetates over the lenses to ensure you keep you night sight when you switch it off and also if it does go accross the water it won't spook the fish.

the radman will make ships change direction.

if its not raining later i'll take a comparison photo in the garden of the princeton and radman.
