Garbolino Specimen Carp Float Rod help please

Hi everyone, just looking for a bit of advice really if anybody can help please.

I havent been fishing for too long and as a starter I bought a 10ft garbolino waggler (knock out 2 - takes 2-5lb line).

Now that im getting in to it a bit more I wanted to get a stronger rod and was looking at the greys g-tec carp bagger but was advised in the shop that the Garbolino 13ft Specimen Carp rod was a good choice and would also, like the greys, take 8-10lb line with a good TC. When I got it home the label says it will take 6lb line so now i'm thinking its not much better than the starter rod I bought.

Does anybody have this rod and know its capabilities??

I fish comercial fisheries with carp that generally reach up to or beyond the 20lb's mark. The lakes also have the usual barbel, chub, tench and bream so its not always the bigger fish.

Thanks for your advice
Leah
