Ive tried going for carp while my boy gets small silver fish on the whip but its hopless cos if I turned my back for a second hes swinging the line about lol , just gunna take his rod and al watch and guide him until hes older

Shimano 10000 is a great choice, solid performer holds 430 yrds of 12lb line. Have a look here at (Big Pit Reels for other Shimanos with their spool capacitys on the same page for comparative purposes
