| Hints and Tips I was trying to find a way of cleaning up a cork handle on line, every post said soap & water, but one post said use Brasso Duraglit. So not being able to wash the handles, i dug out some of my old Brasso and tried a small section of cork. well i wasn't expecting it to work. But i was mistaken, The Brasso has brought the handle up as new. I would recommended useing brasso if you want to clean up your cork handles(Not Fork Handles) remember to wipe down afterwards with a dry cloth. __________________ Born to fish made to work |

| If you tie your own flies, and find the eye of the hook is clogged with varnish, I always carry a mechanical pencil, with a sewing needle inserted. Just press the top and drop the needlepoint down enough to clean out the eye. Peter ![]() |

| Re: Hints and Tips If you use rod tubes. Gaffa tape one end shut so it doesn't fall off into your rod holdall. Then find some thick cord or thin rope. Take the rod out. Drill a hole off centre in to the top of the end cap. Drill another in the side wall of the tube below where the cap fits. Tie a knot in the end of the chord and cut to about 6 - 8 inchs. Thread through the top of the cap, the inside side wall of the tube and tie another knot. There you go, no more lost rod tube end caps. __________________ Just remember, not all the heroes died. www.helpforheroes.org.uk |

| When river fishing for barbel dont think you can just click baitrunner on so u can leave your rod. The bites are so vicious that they can cause it to tangle which my mate found out the other day he lost everything 200pounds worth of stuff gone just because he didnt reel it in before leaving his rod __________________ C. | Re: Hints and Tips bit old i spose, but when making small pva mesh bags i used to tie them off with a little tag of pva! (got fingers like bananas so tieing the knot tight was always a pain) now just tie one end, fill bag cut it off the tube put a slice in the top and tie the 2 tag ends together making a highly compressed ball i know will explode on the lake bed, can do about 2 a minute and easily enough for a bagging session in 10! very tight and look pretty pro compared to the ones i was taking yonks fiddle arsing about with! __________________ SCUPPER A COMMERCIAL TOOOO DAY! |
