| Mx 4000 After going to my local angling store in saerch of a new seat box and not finding the ideal one for me, i reverted back to the internet. From my last post someone mentioned go and look at the maver range and from doing so i have fallen in love with the Maver MX 4000. It looks the part and sure sounds it, but i havnt seen it in person and dont really no what space it has to offer. I am hopeing that someone has this seatbox and would be able to post some pictures of the draws/trays and when fully setup. If this is no the case please tell me if its worth the wopping £399! http://www.mavermatch.co.uk/index.ph...ts&category=31 Please post your thoughts. Thankyou |

| Re: Mx 4000 Hi Larry, Please forgive the seemingly ignorant question, but what is it about this seat box (Or any other for that matter) that makes it worth £400? I'm a beach fisher man first and foremost, so genuniely don't understand why these things appear to be so expensive. If you want a seat box on the beach, you buy a Shakespear Beta box, which is currently on offer in a local shop for £18.50. It carries your gear and you can sit on it. Job done. I'm guessing that you need a box to be slightly more adjustable than that, but even so.... For £400, I'd want a box to net my fish for me and make the coffee whilst it's at it! I'm not saying it's not good value, people obviously pay top dollar for them, I just don't understand why... __________________ Right then, checklist: Rods. Check. Reels. Check. Speckled Hen. Check. | Re: Mx 4000 Hi Baggie Your match box is your well organised personal tackle shop. It holds EVERYTHING you could possibly need in well organised drawers so you never have to leave your seat for 5-6 hours & don't have to take your eyes off the float to find anything (except checking for wasps in your fizzy drink - have spat a couple out before). the legs are all adjustable to allow you to have the optimum fishing position and all your trays, nets & rod rests are attached to the legs. Each drawer holds a different bit of kit, floats/shot/hooks/scissors You may have to cart it along with all the rest of you tackle a mile along the river bank across ploughed fields & stiles so obviously the lighter the better whilst retaining strength. Once in Ireland whilst fishing a loch had my "large" bait table under the water with the matchbox legs up to max height to get above the waves. It got a bit scary when the wind picked up, but it was one of my mates whose setup collapsed under a particulary large wave & got a soaking .£400 is steep - but then it is top of the range - have a look at the price of poles __________________ Spahill <:--- --- --- --- It was this big --- --- --- ---:> |

| Re: Mx 4000 Spahill I could not of described the uses of a seat box in a better way. For those who don't understand why people like me would pay so much for a box then read above. Basically i want a top of the range box that i no will last me a fair few years. I have had cheaper boxes in the past and they don't last long, From the legs being warn away and parts falling off. I also like to look the part and this box sure does look it, i am looking to spend around 600 on fitting it out with all the accessories ready for the spring. But this all has to wait until i find another job. So i take it Know one has this box! |

| Re: Mx 4000 Thanks guys. I guess you have different needs to us salty types then. I can understand spend a bit more money for good quality gear, but £400 still seems a touch expensive to me. ![]() __________________ Right then, checklist: Rods. Check. Reels. Check. Speckled Hen.
