New gear this year.

I've had to replace some of my gear due to old age (the GEAR) and to fill some holes in my "essentials" armoury (the one my wife wil have a fit about if she ever sees the card bill).

So far I've bought.

A maver rod holdall, very impressed to far. Eight tube this is it or somit.
A non branded stalking chair with adjustable legs and folding front and back thingies. Make of steel so I can see this rusting. The ability to fold the back legs back is great. So far so good.
Shakespeare Tidewater fixed spool sea reel , hasn't really (no pun intended) had a good session yet so don't know.
2 Okuma Opti_drag bait feeder reels. So far , again, so good. Faultless operation and landed my biggest carp so far on these. They aint Shimano but for what you pay I reckon they are pretty good.
Leeda Rucksack from Argos. Great! Haven't broken it yet and it has the same footprint as my fox box. I've used some great sacks over the years and for fishing this is OK. Not in the same league as my mate Andys Lowe Alpine 120L that I used on a mountaineering course years ago , but about a 10th of the price.
I think that's it for now.
