Which reel should i go for???

Hi Guys!!

I just need a bit of advice here on which reel i should go for. I currently looking at buying a new spinning reel for fishing fresh and salt water, for a variety of species, but mostly predatory fish, from mackrel, to sea bass, to tiger fish on the Zambezi river in Africa! I really want the bait runner feature as seen on the Shimano reels, and was pondering between buying the Shimano Baitrunner reel, and the Penn CLL6000, which has the similar feature. Which of these two is the better, as both companies have a decent reputation. I have heard that there is a possible build quality issue with the penn, but this i cannot verify, and im also on a budget, so looking to get the most for my money! Any help with this would be great!!!
Thanks guys! (P.s, im also open to different makes too!)

Re: Which reel should i go for???

Not sure you want a "baitrunner" on a spinning reel.
Baitrunners are for static baits to allow freespool mode with a modicum of drag, the reel engages as soon as you start turning the handle.

I have a couple of ABU 806s or 809s (sorry can't remember which) for spinning they came with a spare spool so one has 20lb braid & the other 10lb mono. I also use them with carp rods for gentle (lob) beach fishing.

If there was one thing I would change on them I would have the drag knob at the bottom, but apart from that I love them.
Not sure how large your budget is though - so may be outside....
I used to decide on how much I would go upto and not go more than 50% above.
