Thumbs up pondskater orca bait boat

Having resisted the urge all last year, I finally decided to splash out on a baitboat. I used the usual fleabay and got a cracking deal on a reconditioned Pondskater Orca boat at £80.00 off retail. It arrived on Friday and I used it for the first time at my local lake yesterday. Have to say it is absolutely spot on (although I didn't catch a fish but heres hoping)!!! I had read a couple of mixed reviews but I really could not fault this boat. It is extremely robust (not like the angling technics I used to own!!) and for the price I paid I cannot complain. Anybody else out there own one of these and if so what do you think?

Re: pondskater orca bait boat

I had one for about a month ..Sorry to tell you but it was the worst boat i have ever used , loads of trouble wth the electric,s , remote stopped working ,Hopper door stopped working, does not tip out wet bait . too tall does not steer in a wind soon sent it back ..
Hope yours is one of the good ones

Re: pondskater orca bait boat

Fingers crossed!!! It has been okay so far and I have used it approx 6 times. Shame you had trouble with yours. Did you sell it on in the end? If so, what are you using now?

Re: pondskater orca bait boat

hi guys i purchased the TFG patriot boat its just the same as the orca not a bad boat for first timers but i wouldnt recommend it, it does for what i use it for but you can get something alot better for £300. one of the blades has broken off the propeller and had real trouble getting one. Luckily TFG finally sent me 1. btw does anybody fish the Pride of derby? ive been catching 10 pound bream from there but its rather boring.
