fox 9'6" trek travel spin rod

well i have had this rod nearly 2 years now(xmas pressie 2005)

and it is never out the boot of my car( unless using it of course)
it gets regulary used at the docks and also along canal for pike
this rod also gets used up estuary light ledgering for the flounder and schoolies and has done a great job



its a 4 piece rod thats pretty pokey as is rated 40-100gr
i have it balanced with a okuma3000reel and its just so comfortable too hold all day( also use a small abu 6000 on it for heavy lures and shads or floundering when use 2oz bombs)




it has a split cork handle and hook clip above handle to hold lure whilst travelling, paintwork is shiney black and seems unchippable



and packs down into its own rigid tube


its not the cheapest rod on market at £54 but its build quality is tops(as used loads and no marks anywhere)
its not hot in banging out small lures but its not designed for that, but a 30grm dexter (below its rateing)will go a long way as will a lumpy old dawg as in pics

there is also a smaller lighter 8ft model which would be more suited to spinning for perch trout etc

oh and it does work

well thats a definate yes if you do much spinning or get odd chances to fish and need something quick and easy, leave it in boot with a reel and a few lures and jobs a goodun

nice one! im in the market for a travel rod as back off to asia feb, need somthing for light
shore ledgering and somthing that can handle a float or lure! is ther much back bone as far as handling larger fish say the 15/25lb bracket?

just in the market for somthing like that! off to asia in feb so need somthing to handle a float, lure and some lite shore fishing, most of the cheap travel rods ive seen look crap for ther money, main problem being the butt section is far too short!
that looks alright tho, just the ticket!

(wana lend it for 2 weeks ill make it famous!)

not sure re 15lb as never had over 5 on it mate , but is a v solid rod and pretty stiff for a 4 piece so probably fine mate
