Penn Powerstick 20/30lb 7’ 6 inches

Penn Powerstick 20/30lb 7’ 6 inches

Using it for the first time this year I have found it a great little rod. I was looking for a boat fishing rod that was light and was able to do rough and light wrecking work.

The rod as it says is a little powerhouse in the mid to butt section, without loosing any tip sensitivity.

The reel mounting is the usual screw to secure, which holds the reel solid and does not loosen off during use. The handle itself is of foam, which is nice and comfortable especially in the cold

At the butt end is a removable cover that reveals a metal butt pad slot – mmm do not think I will be getting fish that big, but it’s a nice added feature

The rod finish is very good with the varnish finish looking like it will handle most bumps and scrapes

Overall I’m very happy with the Penn Powerstick 20/30lb 7’ 6 inches for the price bracket that it is in

Rating
Build Quality 3/5
Usability 4/5
Features 3/5
Would I recommend It - Yes
