I've just read that the angler in question has been aquitted. The Judge was'nt too happy about the case being brought to court either. A definate victory for common sense....

can you tell us where the case was held??? thanks maybe a note in the local rag might be able to look it up

South Shields mate. The article that I read was in Sea Angler magazine.

its fairly landmark, its a case that can alway be brought up by any defence!
thats obviously if trappers dont make any eye sores, and carry out ther thing
