I think these Should be Banned

Whilst Surfing E-Bay, I noticed this

15” Tomahawk Hunting Knife
This is the Fishing Items in E-Bay, What would you do with a knife that big in Fishing. I mean my fishing knife has a 2” blade; I don’t need any more than that. Selling these Knives is irresponsible and with all the stabbing going on at the moment in the News. If there is one item that should be banned on E-Bay is these types of Knives.

Oh well Rant over.

Re: I think these Should be Banned

I am a hunter as well as a fisherman. I like to shoot Rabbits and Deer to eat, as well as a variety of birds. However even when I butcher a Deer I only use a 6" knife. Some people are just total idiots.

Re: I think these Should be Banned

I have sent an email to Ebay with a question about these knives.

I have a concern that has been bugging me for a while, I am a fisherman and I am a regular member of many angling clubs and angling forums, I have started to notice the above item listed by many companies as fishing knife. With talking to many other anglers on the forums we all agree that not one of us would such a dangerous item. 90% of anglers, Sea, coarse and Game use small knives that are normally small pen knives. it does offend most anglers that the items are advertised as fishing knife, With present climate in the UK with stabbings, a dangerous item like this should not be sold especially as children fish as well and look at eBay, those children who are novices in angling, may think that it is ok to use such an item, when I fact it is not. I am a responsable angler and I try to help in keeping our sport safe and I feel that the sellers of this item are exploiting our sport for there own gain.

What do you guys think?

Re: I think these Should be Banned

my combat/survival knife was not even that big, I can see no need for a knife that size for any sport in this country.

Re: I think these Should be Banned

Again it takes the responsible people to bring this to light, that blade would go clear through a human-being front to back, for why, does anyone know where e-bay is actually based, until they sort this out will not be using them firing e-mail of now telling them so.
