 the dangers of pole fishing Watch the way you pull the elastic when you have got your pole float stuck in a tree which is wot happend to me in a match on sunday always remeber to turn your face away my hook length broke an the elastic shot back at about 200 miles an hour wot happend next the top end of the float went straight through my finger and out the top with a brock pole float going into the bottom of my finger and 3in sticking out the top and all i got off the other members of the club was laughter so always remember never watch the elastic when trying to retrive a stuck float from a tree because i would hate to see someone loose a eye __________________ Cheers. .Carlton. | Re: the dangers of pole fishing Done it meself Carlton mate aint to funny at the time, after i had a little giggle to meself. On a more serious note about poles always check out for overhead cables, Fished a match once and saw a ambulance turn up for a poor fellow angler that touched an overhead cable, lets just say this guy wont be doing no more fishing. |
