Anyone at Shakespeare......

want to sponsor me? I've now had a new fly rod for Christmas and bought a new float rod from vouchers I had for my birthday and when trying to fit them all in the shed it dawned on me how many rods I now have (very disproportionate to the amount of time I get fishing!!!) and all bar two are Shakespeare made. My list is:-

Shakespeare telescopic beach caster
Shakespeare beach caster
2 x Shakespeare carp rods (targa and ganza)
Shakespeare Targa spinning rod
Shakespeare barbel rod
Shakespeare float rod
Shakespeare fly rod
Shakespeare kids rod that my daughter uses on holiday.

In addition I've got 2 Shakespeare bait runner reels, a Shakespeare fixed spool beach reel and 2 Shakespeare spinning reels as well as a tackle box and other bits and pieces by them.

So, I've decided it's about time they sponsored me to use their stuff. Maybe they could follow my progress as they pay me enough to give up work and fish every day and then use the outcome in their advertising showing how their kit has turned a permanently blanking occassional angler into a success so if there's anyone out there from Shakespeare drop me a private message and we can come to a deal

For the record I also have an ABU uptider and Masterline fly rod (once my sponsorship comes through I'll be able to tell you all how my Shakespeare fly rod is far better than the Masterline one - I'll also hold off commenting on how bad the telescopic beach caster is!).

How many rods do the rest of you possess as it's frightening I own 10 and have a couple of rods borrowed from my brother-in-law and also a cane fly rod which I keep safe and don't use yet still feel I need a few more

Looks like the bait monkey lives in England, too. The bait monkey sits on your shoulder and whispers you need to buy more tackle. At times it screams and becomes a 500 pound gorilla .

If your tackle tart is the same as our tackle junkie-I sometimes wonder if I'm a fisherman or a tackle collector-then I reckon I'm one too !
