Seat Boxes

I am in the hunt for a new seat box after my trusty Pheonix Box gave up on me after 10 years of splendid service. The hinges are beyond repair as is certain sections of frame work

I do not fish as much as I used to - once every three weeks fishing club matches is the max at the moment due to family committments.

I am wondering what you lot feel the best box is £ for £.

I have been searching through ads in the monthly mags but cannot make up my mind what the best box is to buy.

My pockets are neither deep nor shallow - I have no budget limits but I want value for money. I am not really looking at the top of the range ones due to the amount of time I actually spend on the bank.

Can anyone supply me with their views on seat boxes and where they feel my money should be spent?

Nice 1

Gadders

Re: Seat Boxes

I recently bought a Milo Tardis 2nd hand for £150. With the foot plate and trolley kit. What I have found is that with the foot plate I don't suffer with my back anymore. I noticed that they do come up on eBay quite regular. The down side is that they are heavy and with out the wheel kit it would be a nightmare carrying it.

Re: Seat Boxes

The shakespeare Seat tackle boxes are very good - can buy them in a couple of different sizes. Can get lots of accessories and can add a Breakaway back rest as well. Boxes cost £25 - £40 ish. Back Rest £40 ish. Well worth it though

Re: Seat Boxes

Hi mate ,
i have the shakespeare match box ,
its bigger than the beta box , so i can fill it with more unnessacary crap !!!!!,
stick to the beta box , you can still get everything you need in it !!!
the bigger the space , the bigger amounts of crap you put in !!!!!

Re: Seat Boxes

I had a Beta Box - I gave it to my daughter several years ago.

I am looking for a draw system box with accessories that can be added.

I have seen the On Box, Boss Modules Milo Boxes, etc etc etc - I just wondered what you thought the best box is £ for £.

Cheers

Re: Seat Boxes

I saw a On box in veals today, they look pretty solid, the price was around 250 mark. They also had the new Maver boxes in there as well £149.00 but noticed that they had only 3 draws it looks very simlar to the Matchbox.
