| Fishing Forecasts Metcheck Quote --The weather affects your chance of a catch. Using algorithms based on cloud cover, precipitation, pressure change and UV index, we can calculate whether fish are likely to reside at the surface or deeper water. Has anyone ever used the Fishing Forecasts Metcheck and tracked how it does against what the fishing does fish like ? >>> Gloucester fishing forecast __________________ Richard|Sea Fishing |Carp Fishing| Spud Gun | Zander fishing | Fishing Reports | Hunting Reports |

| Re: Fishing Forecasts Metcheck yes i base most if not all my fishing around weather i use this one below Metcheck.com - Global Weather Forecasts - [Updated on 26 November 2006 at 10:00] - Weather Feeds - Live Data - Long Range Weather Forecasts now although i use this to give me all the info i need to know i also follow the moon phases aswell . StarDate Online | Moon Phase Calculator i also use my own weather station which tells me the temperatures and barometer readings there and then on the day i,m fishing so i can compare with the websites own readings this is then used and all relevant details from the two web sites that i think are relevant are noted in my fishing logs as i like to keep personal records of all my fishing trips . but my log books are not just full of weather details they also contain my observations of each trips drawing of rigs i,ve used and detailed maps of swims i,ve fished over the years not only on lakes but on river and drains too (bet you all think i,m a anorak now ) on weather patterns theoretically this will show over time patterns when optimum feeding times and fish movements ,be it on lakes for carp and on the rivers and drains i fish but one important factor is you must not rely totally on your findings as although condition might replicate what you have in your logs books from one year to next barometer reading will probably be slightly off and i think high and low pressure pays a big part in fishing . so really they are a rough guide tightlines kevin ![]() |
