Braid or Mono?

Now there's a question!

without doubt mono, if i'm after Carp, Tench, Bream etc

But I love using Braid for my predator fishing (I always have 2 feet of sinking tubing before the trace, for the fishes protection)

Braid gives great sensitivity, which in itself is big advantage

Mono always sinks, the good braids i.e Whiplash and Power Pro have tendancy to rise in the water, which can cause a problem

What do you prefer? let me know

Re: Braid or Mono?

i used to use braid for my carping and i thought it was brilliant ,but due to certain lakes not allowing braid i decided to change back to mono as then i did not need to keep changing over to my other spools with mono on them. .
i like yourself use braid (whiplash pro) but on only two of my zedding rods other is on mono
this is done as i normally will fish two rods over to the far bank and need good indication on these and also a instance connection when striking too.
as the other is normally fished close to my near bank i keep it on mono this allow a bit of give when striking under the rod tip .

tightlines
