bait casters

I am thinking about buying a bait caster combo for bass
fishing in Mass. I have never used one always used spinning
gear but the are tuff to use with spinner and buzz baits.
can anybody help me on a mid range ($) combo and what should
I be looking for in it and how hard are they to use.
I have heard some horror stories about them with back lash
and tangles and hard to use.
Any help would be appricated.

thanks
jassfly

Re: bait casters

Sorry I cannot help with this mate , have a adu baitcaster reel which I do use but do not think it would handle anything over 10lb ( mmm ... me catching a fish this size would be a big plus )
