| Chilling time at the kennet&avon canal Well Mike and i decided to have a chilled session on the Kennet&Avon canal again this weekend. We might go a bit further up the canal to see if there are any signs of Pike, which apparently are in there. Hopefully i can add a few more species to my personal 'species hunt' as I only seem to attrack rud, roach and bream, wherever I go  Next week I will hunt that Mr.trout' down again in the avon river, see if i can hook him this time, with all the tips I had given here.  __________________ There is certainly something in angling that tends to produce a serenity of the mind." - Washington Irving     |

What you need is a nice fat Ruffe for bait  You may be aware that the British record Salmon is held by a Miss Georgina Ballantine. A lot of people put this down to fish being attracted to female Pheromones. Not sure how you apply these to pike baits though.....
