Perch ?

Do any of you fine people know of any decent venues to do a bit of Perch fishing?
I fished all through the summer and now into the winter and my biggest to date is about 1lb.
I am really looking for a venue around the Hampshire area but will travel within reason.
Any help would be most gratefull.
So far i have tried minnow on float lobworm and small mepps spinners, the mepps have brought me the best results but that was summer time.
Also wot times of day or night are the most productive?
