fishing you a merry christmas

well we are a week away from that time of year.
we all as fisherman can not wait to try are new fishing toys out as soon as possible after the big man in the red suit has been ,leaving us with no mince pies and the normal pile of presents for everyone but first can you survive the big day ??
. on christmas eve its late to bed as the kids seem to suffer from insomnia .and do not sleep until 3am
then its up early christmas day like 3.30 am to get the over sized 50lb turkey (which only has to feed 3) in the oven ready in time for the dinner
its then you here the thundering stampede as the kids our awake and down to rip the shiny paper of the presents in the orderly chaos which you are now used too ,you pray there is no noisy toys as an early nap is required to get you through the long day ahead but alas there is no time for a nap cause the next 6 hours is spent making up the damm toys that seem to come in a trillions bit and not english instruction
you seem to make it through to the dinner and the morning seems to drift away with the onset of the gigantic feastive lunch with all the usual i hate sprouts ,swedes ect and the histerical cracker jokes (not ) and as you raise a glass and salute a merry christmas and a at the missus after she opened her special lingerie gift you know really you will be sleeping from the alcohol and chocolate overdose .
dinner drift into the afternoon and the waiting is over and the queen says her bit and ittime for your christmas film bonanza wizards of oz followed by james bond after the third bond film the batteries in the toys are now running out and the kids are now into the chocolate and fizzy drinks and there batteries are recharge but you are well out of it by now after twelth bottle of wine you and your missus has consumed late afternoon turns into the evening by now the kids are crying as there best toy have broke and you hunt for the emergency glue you bought in advance for this just this situation and put in a safe place you can,t remember where that is .
after the crisis has past and the kids have fallen asleep in the middle of the lounge floor you carry the little angels to bed . and you survived unscathed but a bit boozy and tired but have a small glow of satifaction that you have provided a happy special days for your children .

every body here on the forum have a very merry christmas
