Strangest catch ?

Had a very odd one 3 weeks ago down at Longbridge. Very hot day and people not catching much, mid afternoon i decide to move my line a bit further out, so plumb up using swan shot, just as i go to reel in i see a bloody great bend in my rod and think bugger me thats no swan shot, then bank a lovely 6.5 lb mirror. No bait used ! She was hooked right in the mouth as well, no flukey foul hook.

So what about you guys, anything spring to mind ?

I did once lassoo a nice rudd of about 14oz.

got a 8lb pike while chub fishing with a lob worm, pritty strange
pissed my dad n grandad off quite abit, they were fishing next to me with dead baits and spinners and blanked all day
