Is this a gudgeon?

My son caught this today. Looks like a gudgeon but it is too silver and no lateral markings. Can anyone identify exactly what it is?

Re: Is this a gudgeon?

This was caught in a small pond in Aldershot,Hants. The pond has roach, perch, chub, carp, tench but I didn't think bleak. It looks a gudgeon shape and has gudgeon colour fins. But it has no stripy/spotty markings. Looks similar to Norfolk Boy's pic of a Gudgeon in this same section, but not quite. Could it be a hybrid?I haven't been fishing for 20 odd years, but my 11 year old son wanted to go, and we went for the first time today. I'm a bit out of touch.

Re: Is this a gudgeon?

Yeah, I'm going with Gudgeon now too looking at it again, although it's slightly different to the ones I've caught before.
