FAO mmch (TVAC)

Hi mate.

Test Valley waters - you mentioned Embley being a good lake, how about King & Willow ? Just looked at these, the one down the bottom (wilow?) looks really good (apart from the half mile walk), how does it fish ? Embley fish better ?

Tryin to teach my 13yr old how to fish, are any of the waters easier than another ? Have you fished marchwood / icehouse & hatchet ?

Also, are there toilets at any venues. Just weighing up my options, i know membership only runs till april but in the 3 weeks ive got back into fishing, i must have spent 25 quid on day tickets.

Thanks in advance

mike

mmch will become famous soon enough
Re: FAO mmch (TVAC)

Kings is probably the easiest fishery of the lot, with plenty of carp from a few pounds to 15 lb or so.

Willow is a lovely little fishery, with good mixed bages, though not as heavily stocked as Kings, it is a more enjoyable days fishing in my book, normally a bit quieter down there. I'll probably be down there tomorrow evening if the weather is ok.

Embley is a little harder, but chance of a bigger fish is definitely on the cards, tench to over 7lbs, carp to 26 lb ish, bream over 5lbs and loads of small fish. A lovely lake, though not as easy as the other two.

I have had a look at marchwood, though never fished it, I just dont like the look of it!

Never been to hatchet. Icehouse tends to fish better in the winter as it is full of weed in the summer.

The river blackwater is a superb little fishery, well there is few miles to explore. I had a lovely chub out of there the other day, about 3lbs and a nice roach. It definitely fishes better in the winter though. A days trotting can produce huge bags of fish.

Definitely worth joining though, plenty of fisheries for all tastes.

Shout me if you plan on heading down to willow tomorrow evening.

Marc

How about Nutsey mate, you fished that one ?

I took a quick look at embley other night, tvac website says its bigger than king and willow but it looked smaller than kings if anything.

Theire site says this is embley ? Looks like a completely different lake

Re: FAO mmch (TVAC)

They are the right photos, the embley one is in winter, so go back then and have alook from the bridge over the inlet stream and it will look pretty similar. The kings one was taken quite a while ago, since then the bushes and trees have grown quite a lot!
