Re: river ant

Welcome to the forum

If you're willing to travel around a bit Honing Common can produce good roach fishing. Other species around the area are tench, bream, eels, pike, perch and ruffe. From Honing Lock at dilham there's the same species with bream and roach fishing being the most succesful. Stalham is a good winter venue and loads of small pike can be caught.

Best tactics are quivertipping with breadflake for the bream, and maggots for everything else on a light feeder rig. For the pike use spinners, plugs, lures etc.. and deadbaits in winter.

Fishing where boats are moored up are great places to find the fish

Have to add this information was taken from John Wilson's guide of where to fish in Norfolk and Suffolk, and I personally have never fished the river, but I wish you good luck and hope you have a great time
