Some how I managed to snap the little metal bar across the main shaft of my reel, this is the bar that initiates the clutch, so without it the spool just spins freely, the hole for the bar is about 1mm wide I figured that there's no need to buy a new reel, jsut something to go in the hole to initiate the clutch again, can anyone help? Thanks

Re: Red Wolf Very innovative. I think that we all get that feeling when ever we fix anything- I was really proud after I fixed a friends reel, and even prouder after I fixed my sink myself. ![]()

Re: Red Wolf its a great feeling knowing that you;ve just saverd your self £20 or so, I suppose that i should have expected something to go wrong soon, I've had the reel at least 7 years, only cost me £10 an it was first serviced about 2 years ago, lol.
