Advise please

Hi all, I'm new to the board and just wanted to ask some advice on updating my tackle.

I haven't fished for about 8 years and sold the majority of my equipment a while ago as well but just recently have been getting pangs to start back up again.

Any suggestions on a decent all round float rod and reel on the market at the minute would be appreciated, as my favourite method is definately the float.

I'll mainly be fishing for the lovely specimen Rudd and Roach in a local lake but it's full of bream and carp as well up to early double figures.

Any help or suggestions eagerly awaited, thanks

I have got a set of diawa vulcans on shimano bait runner reels. the rods can be used for eithr float of method. The best thing to do is go to a tackle shop and tell the guy behind the desk what you want the rods to do and see what they suggest.
