scrollball is on a distinguished road
do u have to release fishes?

when fishing in ponds, lakes, canals in public areas like in a park you have to purchase a environment agency rod licence in order to fish, but does this licence allow you to take fish home? or do all fishing in public areas in the uk requiew you to adopt a catch and release policy?many thanks

Re: do u have to release fishes?

although years ago fish were regulary taken to eat, only really the trout family are now
most waters have regulations as too this
guess the crayfish and eel are fine as well
I have eaten freshwater bream, pike and carp(not in this country) but its the sport most people go fishing for
anyway why would you want to keep roach!!!!!!try filleting one for a start lol

most people who look for fish for the table head to the shore just look at the supermarket fish counter should give you an idea that we only eat seafish
