| Re: eel baits i would use a deadbait every time, lobworm is ok ,but the average size of eel on deadbaits is a lot better, there is a chap i know who specialises in eel fishing and he almost exclusively uses herring,he wont tell me how he uses it,i would think he would use a strip or a small fillet, don't forget mate, when deadbaiting, use a wire trace if pike are present in the water |

| Re: eel baits Good luck. Like Paul says, deadbaits will work well, but not in every water! It depends on the amount of small fish in the lake. If there's loads, they'll get used to feeding on them and will grow a bigger head. If there's little prey in the lake, they'll turn to crustaceans, and will have a smaller head. If there's a lot of prey fish in the lake/river, use a deadbait, if there's not, use worm. You could try 1 rod with deadbait, 1 rod with lobs. ![]() __________________ Dan `·.¸¸.·´¯`·.¸ Big or small, look after them all! ¸.·´¯`·.¸ ><((((º> |
