| today at suffolk water park traditional lake myself and 'dan the fishing man' travelled down to suffolk water park today hoping that the carp had not decided to start spawning on the lakes. thankfully, not many were spawning on the traditional lake. dan had the first takake about 1 hour in and it was a tench weighing in at exactly 5lb. about 30mins later dan had another run, and ended up landing a tench weighing 4lb 10oz. then for about 3 hours everything went quiet with neither of us even getting a line bite! i then had a scream on my rod, after a good fight for its species and size, i landed a 4lb bream. dan then lost 2 fish in about 15mins on his rods after they both pulled him in the reeds and his size 10 barbless hooks came out of the fishes mouths. and finally, about 20minutes before we left, dan had another run, he hooked what must have been a huge tench or an easy double figure carp, snapped his line. a good days fishing considering the circumstances to do with spawning. Ps. sorry no pics |
