Grasshoppers for bait

Just wondering if anyone can tell me how to catch some grasshoppers/crickets for a fishing trip i'm taking at the end of the month.

Local Bass lake largemouth love'm and I think it's time to give'm what they want!!!!

I just go into my garden and catch them, not too hard really, although they will jump out of your hand if you don't cover them.

I also have some grasshopper rubber lures that would probaly work well for bass over in America, if you have them in shops?

i get them and meal worms from petshops(lizzard food) and superglue them on works great
you can hear them scream as they go by your ear

i bet chub like them, how do you get them on the hook?

Yeah good for chub, and I think trout quite like them too.

The way of seen people do it is through the body, but so they hang off it and looks natural, hard too explain.

I keep lizards and you will find most reptile shops sell a wide range of sizes of hoppers also crickets.

I've always wondered how a mealworm would fair on a hook as they can be quite big.
