| Re: River adur I haven't fished the Adur but here is some info that I have gleaned from doing a quick search on the web: The tidal stretch, down through Bramber has produced good bags of bream for those that like that sort of thing Some big carp have also come out. The main species are Roach, Bream and Pike but there are also big Carp Dace a few Chub, Perch and mullet. The majority of the fishing (up to just below Henfield) is tidal. Pulborough AS have the fishing from Bramber up and this is available on a day ticket from Bramber News Agents (it used to be). The Henfield club which is members only controls much of the upper river including the non-tidal sections. This I believe is where the best of the Pike fishing is to be found. Try starting with a feeder with a relatively coarse groundbait and either bread or multiple maggot baits on the hook. Concentrate on the bends to find the fish and if you are not catching keep going as a change in the tide can switch the fish on in an instant. If your float fishing skills develop it’s a great place for a heavy stick float. Hope this info is of some help. You may get more and better info from someone else on this forum who actually fishes the river but in the absence of this the above info gleaned from the web should help you.
