| Re: Target Species Anything I didn't catch in the last few months of '11, when I returned to fishing. So a pretty big list really, but topped off mainly by what some may see as odd, but a Doggy! Next on the list would probably come Mackerel, but that due to my longing for better weather I guessing. Hopefully be exploring a whole new variety of venues in 2012, as much as I love Eastney, would be nice for a change of scenery or few along with hopefully meeting a few more forum members too! __________________ -- Bart Rank : Rod Rattling Rookie! | Re: Target Species My targets for this year are to concentrate on my match fishing and hopefully do well. Not expecting big results as this will be my first proper year of match fishing having speant 2011 practising, getting the right gear and entering some low key matches and club events to test my skills. It would be nice to draw peg next to one of the big boys and beat them at the weigh in. My other target is still that river barbel...I will catch one eventually!! |

| Re: Target Species Hoping to get my first proper CARP EVER (i guess crucians i've had don't really count as proper un's.) That said - i've only just started fishin' where there's a GOOD HEAD (no not that sort) Gonna' ave' a good go @ em' this year though. A decent carp is on me' bucket list - but don't set out deliberatly to target them. Each to thier own but i find it a bit tedious & omniversal (is that a word ????) Having watched THINKING TACKLE on telly seems a yard or so further than i'm prepared to go - & seems to me they're saying YOU'LL NEVER catch one if you don't fish like this. Of course a free lined lobworm or other similar simply presented bait is likely to get one. __________________ Fishing - the best fun you can have with your clothes on. |
