| Re: Best bait for trout in dec. Over here trout fishing is technically "out of season" until March or April depending where you live especially on rivers. Having said this, many land locked waters remain fishable in certain water authoritiy areas. My local syndicate water remains open all year and therefore can be fished in December. It is "fly only" so I would generally use something like a Montana Nymph fish very deep and slow on a "Hi D Line". Failing that maybe a fry imitation again fished deep and slow. If bait fishing is allowed, the humble Earthworm takes some beating ! Ripple. |
