| Re: What are your winter fishing plans? Been there, done that ! Fortunatly, my 5 acre trout lake is only 7 miles away but it is roughly over 800ft above sea level and very exposed so it does tend to freeze early. Last winter the ice remained for almost 3 months. But then again, last winter just about all the local ponds, lakes and reservoirs in and around Sheffield froze over ! Ripple. |

| Re: What are your winter fishing plans? Abolutely no plans for winter fishing! This is the time of year I'm a prime target for all sorts of bugs, coughs colds & chest infections. I can't afford time off work so I'm in hibernation 'till the new coarse season starts It's a real waste of the licence, though, considering it starts on 31st March & can't be used on most waters 'till 16th June then I stop, pretty much from the end of November. | Re: What are your winter fishing plans? catching a 20lb plus pike some big barbel from the severn in flood /high water mainly catch my firsy grayling anything else a bonus __________________ hates 'carp puddles' targets for 2011 10lb+worcs stour barbel,specimen tench and chub. |

| Re: What are your winter fishing plans? 7 of us heading to brown down (gosport, hampshire) tomorrow armed with 250 rag and 7 boxes of squid. lets hope i catch more than a cold. still waiting for my first cod but this will be my first december fishing trip so any thing will be nice. |
