carp/pike mono, which one?

morning all, just wondering what 15lb line people are using and what they recommend? my carp kit doubles up as my pike kit and I'm currently using fox warrior line, and to be honest i think its pants!

suggestions then?

I think that everyone will have their own favourites for different reasons and very few of us (if any) have had the chance of using every line out there; but I like using:

< INSIGHT ‘GR60’ > which has accounted for five british Carp records and two Barbel records.
or
< Terry Eustace ‘Gold Label - Pro Gold’ > Which is one of the better and more reliable sinking Monos with an excellent abrasion resistance.
or
if you don't have a lot of cash in your wallet what about < ‘Diawa Sensor’ > which is a favourite line for many Carp and Specialist anglers and regularly gets good write-ups; and doesn't cost the earth either.

Re: carp/pike mono, which one?

I have just spooled my pike reels with the new ESP syncro XT and it is a fantastic line but only for ledgering really as it sinks like a stone and I find that doesnt help my pike float rigs

Re: carp/pike mono, which one?

i chickened out and went back to my old favourite diawa sensor, 15lb mono. instantly feels better than that fox warrior stuff, it's as smooth as silk through the fingers.

Re: carp/pike mono, which one?

Stay away from sensor!! Awfull line tried it for 3 months and took it replaced with x-line. Would never go back to a mono line now. Can be weird to fish with at first as very coily. Soak in warm water for 24 hours before you spool up.
