Hi, since my post about http://fishingbaits.biz, they've released another interesting read from an interview with Roy Marlow. I've had a crack with their Krilled Maggots and done quite well, but there is a whole load of other (as they describe) scientific bait to have a go at. I found this article a really good read, regardless of the bait, but their range looks really interesting. I've read in a few places it has had some very good catches if used properly.

It’s an interesting read from Roy Marlow which will help a lot of anglers to catch fish in winter conditions but I am afraid that as soon as it got into the bait area I lost interest because it looks like the usual spiel advertising a bait range, although it does look like they put a lot of thought and study into the ingredients they use.

Worth a read for anyone who has struggled to catch in freezing conditions and it explains why the fishes food preferences change during the winter months and why they are harder to catch in these conditions; and also how you can increase your chances of catching in these conditions.

Even if (like me) you are not that interested in buying their baits unless I see it work first.

Well I can vouch for the Krilled Maggots I have done very well this year with them. I have however bought some JPz and EFG131 groundbait I will let you know....

Well...after today, I can say they work. I read up on the JPz's and considered using them as a back up. Was feeding EFG131 with Krilled maggots and it took an hour for the silvers to come on, which was very welcome.

Hitting a depth of about 5 feet. In swapped to corn nothing, swapped back to Krilled maggots, nothing. On to JPz on the hook, 10 minutes and the silvers were on every 5-10 mins....then lowland be hold a 5pm carp. Everything went quiet again.

Back on to Krilled maggots, i went through 4 pint of the buggers, but only half a bag of groundbait. I can't believe how long it lasts, only using a small cup to put it in. The stuff expands a lot when you put the water in it, it takes about 10 minutes for the water to soak in. Any way the maggot brought the silvers back on, the JPz continued to catch the silvers and one more carp at the back end on the day.

time for a bath, dinner and a few glasses of vino !!!!!

there is no wonder bait for fishing never was never will be ,if that was the case we would be bagging up all over the place nothing that is man made can come close to the natural food the fish feed on ,,its all about marketing a product to catch us not the fish,,,,i defy anyone to prove me wrong

always good quality bait, tended to t/out the day, kept in prime condition will always select fish, sweaty/rancid ammonia smelling maggots will catch, but not decent fish.

it would be nice to see a specimen caught on this, but i dont think it will happen, that would really give it some credence
