| Re: Line strength for Shimano Exage rod Firstly spinfisher welcome to the forum, you'll find many lads here only too willing to help you in any way they can. It's a bit difficult to answer your question without a bit more information. What species are you targetting? What type of venue are you visiting? Kind regards. __________________ Kissin' don't last! | Re: Line strength for Shimano Exage rod Thanks Dadwood and MRG2000 - great to get such quick replies. The Exage rod is actually a 4/5 piece in the same series but not telescopic. I want to use the rod for 'holiday' sessions - travelling light. Will be 'pot-luck' river/canal/lake fishing for general course fishing. Might also be doing some light sea fishing - spinning from beach and safe rocks, dangling from pier etc. Like the idea of a matching Shimano reel - any suggested combinations of reel size and line strength? Many thanks |
