Talking lead moulds

I currently have moulds to make the following ( plus more i havent listed )...
As i'm thinking about making more to replenish personal stocks i'm wondering what is the price of a lead these days

1.1oz swivel bomb
1.5 oz swivel bomb
2 oz swivel bomb ( great for back leads )
2oz distance bomb
2.5 " "
3.5 " "
4 oz
5oz
6oz " "

2oz swivel pear coated
2.5 oz
3oz
3.5oz
4oz
1.1oz flat inline pear
2oz
2.5oz
3oz

2oz distance bomb
3oz
4oz
5oz

4oz breakaway
5oz
6oz

10 oz supazoom

12oz bopedo
16oz bopedo
18oz bopedo
24oz bopedo

12oz norway pirk
16 oz
18oz

12oz yellow reef
16oz yellow reef
18oz yellow reef
plus 3 other shapes ( all in various sizes )

bullet head leadheads
round leadheads
shadhead leadheads
( all with eagle claw hooks and powder coated )

I used to sell these by the van load to both the shops and retail customers but gave up when i had more kids than i could cope with

i have coated carp leads coming out of my ears and kilos of powdercoat plus around 500 finished leadheads in all colours and sizes plus pirks by the ton

If i was to start making more beach and boat leads would anyone be interested in them at atleast half the shop prices on most leads ??

ie 5oz beach bomb around 50p
6oz grip lead around 65p

im not even sure how much a bopedo ar supazoom costs in the shops

Re: lead moulds

Last time i was weighing lead in a few months ago the sale price was around a £1 a kilo ,varies daily tho ......they were buying it for 50p a kilo.

Renovating old buildings has an upside ,plenty of lead ..

I know what you mean mate, i was in the demolition game for a while and got a decent amount but at one time i was buying 150 kilos of lead a week !!
I think last time i looked i was paying about 40p a kilo ( mates rates) but im expecting to pay double that now !
I still have all my metal dealer contacts so will have to see what i can come up with ... i went into a shop last week and the 6 oz gripleads were £1.70 each !! i nearly fainted

Re: lead moulds

Price of leads is crazy , i use Gemini splashdowns , £2.50 a throw in the shop , 90p if you make em yourself ......

I`ve trained my Jack Russell to sniff out leads on the beach too .... Penarth usually throws up a few dozen every couple of weeks ..

Re: lead moulds

I would possibly be interested in unfinished leads as odd as that sounds.

Used to make my own as well but I dont have the gear to melt lead down any more.

All those moulds must have cost you a bomb!
