Abu 706 Closed Faced Reel Bargain!!

Hi All, just thought I would let you know that Go Outdoors is selling the Abu 706 closed faced reel for a bargain £49.99 if you have one of their discount cards (only £5 and lasts for a year).

I have always wanted one of these for trotting when its windy, using my centrepin is a nightmare as is using an open face.

The only drawback is that I wouldn't use my closed face reel for larger fish like Barbel and Carp as I don't think they are really up to the job, but for trotting for other smaller species such as Chub, Dace, Roach, Rudd and even Bream I think they are great for trotting on gusty and windy days.

I still occasionally use my old ABU 506 closed face reel if I am waggler fishing on a canal or trotting a stick on a stream on a gusty/windy day and it's still in great condition.

Whats the ABU 706 like to use?
