Lineaeffe Rods Just been on flee bay and noticed a "Raw" 14ft Match rod for £16.79! First of all, would I be right in saying this is a Lineaeffe rod? second, are they a load of pony and trap or the typical "budget rod" OK for a pleasure fisherman (like me) or a good spare.Anyone out there ever had/used one. Would it be worth getting for the missus or a spare for me? (I could do with a 14 footer) Your thoughts please. Ta very much

Re: Lineaeffe Rods Can't see a problem with it mate. I had a Lineaffe rod years ago that I got off my Grandad, it was quite old when he gave me it and was in good nick, I used it for some time and caught plenty of fish too. Italian made so probably quite good quality stuff. I think for £16.79 your not wasting your money and theres worse budget rods on the market.

Re: Lineaeffe Rods It will prob be fine but I would personally stump up another tenner or so and get a budget rod by say Shakespeare or Daiwa.

Re: Lineaeffe Rods I have to agree with Bungz, even budget rods by Daiwa and Shakespeare will perform much better than that horrible looking thing!

Re: Lineaeffe Rods I have'nt seen the rod in question but sounds like it's a bit rubbish. The old Lineaffe rod I had was years ago so maybe they are very poor nowadays....I now also agree with Bungz and Littlefish...spend a touch more and get a decent rod.
