Exclamation New guy - help

Hi,

I have a sea rod and know b====r all about river fishing - there is a local place squabmoor reserve with carp and perch any advice on what i should do first cos i wanna fish there...

Really, you're going to need a freshwater rod. It depends the way you want to fish for them, ledgering, floating, spinning etc..

If you take a look through Freshwater fishing tips forum you'll find loads of decent info

Agree - sorry but with freshwater fishing you will be fishing with line of 2lb - 8lb general use and a sea rod is way to heavy mate

You can get a nice little rod for about £20/£30 or if you go down your local boot market you can often pick up a very cheap one

As said about have a look at the tips section an feal free to ask any questions as fishermen we are always learning something new
