| Rod or reel I'm not looking to spend too much and I already have some equipment. Was wondering if I should get a better rod or get a better reel __________________ Horsepower is how fast you hit the wall. Torque is how far you take the wall with you.     |

I would get a longer rod personally (11 to 13ft), one that is capable of casting a light waggler float a decent distance or a nice multi-tip or Avon/Quiver that you can use for lots of different types of fishing. What sort of waters do you fish and what type and size of fish do you want to catch from them?
